Last year, while looking for an image on a royalty and copyright free source for a silhouette type, black and grey project that I was working on, this simple, black and white close-up portrait of a young woman stood out and so I thought I would set it aside for future use. Many months later, I returned to the image and set to work, adding and adjusting various filters, working towards a bold, sharp, graphic style effect that I thought this project warranted. 

After some time enhancing certain aspects, I finally set upon the artwork that you see above. Often, it is very difficult with any art to know when to stop, as it is easy to go back and add another layer to try and improve the finished work, but this stark, boldly dark look just works so well.

This free wall art is similar to a standard A5 size (210 x 148mm or 8.3 x 5.8in approx.) and is high resolution 300dpi (high print quality). For example, the JPEG is 2480 x 1756 pixels, and if altered to 150dpi (medium print quality) would actually give an image size of 420 x 297mm.  I am working to provide even larger sized high resolution downloads for this artwork.
